Statement of Faith

1. We believe that the Bible is the inspired, living, and infallible Word of God and our source of supreme revelation from Him. It is therefore our rule of faith and practice. (II Timothy 3:16-17 and Hebrews 4:12)

2. We believe that the One True God exists eternally in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that these, being One God, are equal in deity, power and glory. We believe that God not only created the world but also now upholds, sustains, governs, and providentially directs all that exists and that He will bring all things to their proper fulfillment in Christ Jesus to the glory of His Name. (Psalm 90:2, Revelation 1:4-6, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Ephesians 1:3-14 and Hebrews 1:1-3)

3. We believe in the pre-existence, incarnation and virgin birth of Jesus Christ who came into the world to reveal the Father, and was the brightness of His Glory and the express image of His Person; that Jesus Christ was the Creator of all things, for by Him the worlds were made. We further believe that in Christ dwelt all the fullness of the Godhead bodily and that He was fully God and fully man. (John 1:1-5 & 14-18 and Colossians 1:15-20)

4. We believe in Jesus Christ’s sinless life, miracles, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection and His ascension into Heaven, and acknowledge His Lordship – that Jesus Christ is Lord over all things in heaven and in earth, and under the earth. (Hebrews 4:14-16, John 9:1-7, John 11:41-44, Galatians 2:20, Philippians 3:10-11, Philippians 2:8-11)

5. We believe that man was created by a direct act of God out of the desire of His heart to love and be loved by a people, a family. (Genesis 1:26-28 and 2:7, Deut 7:6-16, Ephesians 2:4-7, Ephesians 3:14-20, 1 John 4:16, Ephesians 1:15-23, John 17:26, 1 John 3:1, Romans 8:31-39, Acts 17:24-28, and Psalm 139:13-18)

6. We believe that man, being unable to attain divine righteousness by his own efforts, must be redeemed and delivered of sin by the power of Jesus Christ. By Grace and through faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ a man becomes justified and is made a partaker in all the benefits of salvation. (Ephesians 2: 8-9. John 3:16, Romans 5:12-21, I Corinthians 15:1-4, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Romans 1:16, Romans 4:16-25, and Psalm 103:1-5)

7. We believe in the practice of worshipping God with one’s total being as set forth in the Word of God. We believe in loving God with all of one’s heart and soul and mind and strength and in loving one another as we love ourselves. (John 4:24, Psalm 103:1, Psalms 145-150, Deut 6:5, and Matthew 22:36-40)

8. We believe that men and women are the workmanship of God, created in Christ Jesus for good works that have been prepared for them to walk in and that a man or woman’s destiny is hidden in the heart of God to be searched out through prayer and communion with Him. (Ephesians 2:10, Colossians 3:1-4 and Proverbs 25:2)

9. We believe in the Person of the Holy Spirit who empowers and fills all believers in Jesus Christ who desire His Presence. We believe in all the gifts of the Holy Spirit - Word of Wisdom, Word of Knowledge, Faith, Healings, Miracles, Prophecy, Discerning of spirits, Tongues and Interpretation of Tongues, and that these gifts are available to every believer. We believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit is also being made manifest in the body of Christ as evidenced by His fruit growing and increasing in our lives - Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control. We believe that the Spirit of the Lord desires to pour Himself out to us with Wisdom, Revelation, Counsel, Might, Knowledge and Delight in the Fear of the Lord (Ephesians 1:13-15, 5:18, I Corinthians 12:4-12, Galatians 5:22, and Isaiah 11:2)

10. We believe in Salvation, Healing and Deliverance for the whole person. We believe these were obtained through the atonement in Christ’s sacrificial death and are available to us today by faith. (Psalm 103:1-5, I Peter 2:24-25, Isaiah 53:4-5, Acts 4:12, 1 John 4:18, Psalm 18:2, and Matthew 10:8)

11. We believe that God’s people are one body, with many parts – and each one is important. We believe that we are members of one another and that the basis of our fellowship is in Christ, in the power of following the Spirit together. We believe the Spirit makes us one and that God commands a blessing where we live together in unity. (I Corinthians 12:12-31, Ephesians 2: 19-22 and Psalm 133)

12. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church and that the church exists to Love God, to love and care for each other, and to be equipped and sent out to love the world and to gain for Jesus His inheritance. (Mark 16:15-20, Ephesians 4:8-13, Acts 20:28)

13. We believe that God has called us to walk in His love and His power and to spread the gospel to all nations. To remember the poor, ministering to their needs through sacrificial giving and practical service as we have opportunity, led by the Spirit of God. (Matthew 28:18-20, Luke 4:18, Isaiah 58:6-12, 61:1-3, James 1:27 and Romans 8:14)

14. We believe in the Second Coming of Christ at the end of the age. We believe in Everlasting Life and an Eternal, Unbreakable Covenant with Him. (Matthew 24:30, John 14:3, John 17:3, Jeremiah 31:3, 1Thessalonians 4:17, Song of Solomon 8:6-7 and l Corinthians 13:8)
